Understanding pallet grades is essential for getting the best value. Not every application requires a premium pallet, and choosing the right grade can save your business significant money without sacrificing functionality.

Grade A pallets are in like-new condition. They have no broken boards, no protruding nails, and minimal cosmetic wear. These are ideal for retail-facing applications, export shipping, and any situation where appearance matters.

Grade B pallets show some cosmetic wear — minor staining, slight discoloration, or small surface marks — but are structurally identical to Grade A. They're the most popular choice for warehouse use, inter-facility transfers, and general logistics.

Grade C pallets are the economy option. They may have visible repairs, color variation, or more significant cosmetic wear, but they've been structurally inspected and repaired to meet safety standards. Best for one-way shipping, internal use, or applications where aesthetics don't matter.

The price difference between grades is significant: Grade C pallets typically cost 40-50% less than Grade A. For many applications, this represents substantial savings with no impact on performance.

Our recommendation: start with Grade B. It offers the best balance of quality and value for most business applications. Step up to Grade A only when appearance or specific customer requirements demand it, and use Grade C for one-way trips or internal logistics.
