Why Use Pallet Accessories
The right accessories can dramatically reduce damage, improve safety, and lower your total shipping costs.
Reduce Product Damage by Up to 70%
Corner protectors, anti-slip mats, and proper stretch wrapping work together to eliminate the most common causes of transit damage: crushing, shifting, and toppling. Companies that implement a full accessories program typically see damage claims drop by 50-70%.
Improve Worker Safety
Properly wrapped and secured loads are stable loads. Unstable pallets are one of the top causes of warehouse injuries. Stretch wrap, strapping, and anti-slip mats keep loads tight and predictable, reducing the risk of product falling during handling and transport.
Save Money on Freight
Pallet collars and dividers allow you to stack more product per pallet, maximizing cube utilization in trailers and containers. Better cube utilization means fewer shipments, lower freight bills, and reduced carbon emissions per unit shipped.
Protect Against Weather
Pallet covers and stretch wrap protect goods from rain, dust, UV exposure, and humidity during outdoor storage and transport. Insulated covers maintain temperature for cold-chain goods. A simple cover can prevent thousands of dollars in weather-related product loss.
Meet Customer Requirements
Major retailers and distribution centers have strict requirements for how pallets must be wrapped, strapped, and labeled. Using the right accessories ensures your shipments pass receiving inspection and are not rejected at the dock. Ask us about specific retailer requirements.
Enable Reusable Packaging
Pallet collars turn a flat pallet into a stackable, collapsible box that can be used hundreds of times. This eliminates single-use cardboard boxes and creates a closed-loop packaging system that saves money and reduces waste in your supply chain.
Organize Multi-SKU Pallets
Pallet dividers allow you to organize multiple products on a single pallet without cross-contamination or mixing. This is essential for distribution centers, retail stores, and any operation that ships mixed-product pallets to multiple destinations.
Simplify Inventory Management
Pallet labels, RFID tags, and barcode stickers attached to accessories streamline receiving, put-away, and picking operations. Color-coded stretch wrap and strapping provide instant visual identification of product type, priority, or destination.
Extend Pallet Lifespan
Slip sheets and anti-slip mats reduce wear on pallet deck boards by distributing load more evenly and preventing abrasion from rough-bottomed containers. This simple addition can extend the usable life of your pallets by 20-30%.

Frequently Asked Questions
Answers to common questions about our pallet accessory products.
What gauge of stretch wrap should I use?
For most applications, 80-gauge machine-grade stretch wrap is the standard. It provides excellent holding force for loads up to 2,500 lbs. For heavier or irregularly shaped loads, step up to 90 or 100-gauge film. If you are hand-wrapping, pre-stretched film (typically 47-gauge equivalent that stretches to 90-gauge performance) reduces operator fatigue and uses less material per pallet.
When should I use steel strapping versus poly strapping?
Steel strapping is the right choice for very heavy loads (over 2,000 lbs), rigid loads like steel coils and lumber bundles, and any load that must not flex during transport. Poly strapping (polypropylene or PET) is better for lighter loads, loads that expand and contract slightly (like stacked boxes), and applications where there is a risk of the strap being cut by sharp edges. PET poly strapping offers nearly the same tensile strength as steel at a lower weight.
How many pallet collars do I need per pallet?
One pallet collar adds approximately 7.5 inches (200mm) of wall height to a standard 48x40 pallet. Most applications use 2-4 collars stacked on top of each other, giving you 15-30 inches of containment height. Collars fold flat when not in use and stack very efficiently for return logistics. A set of 4 collars effectively creates a reusable wooden box without the weight and bulk of a permanent crate.
Are your pallet covers waterproof or water-resistant?
We offer both options. Standard poly pallet covers (4-6 mil) are fully waterproof and provide excellent protection against rain, snow, and humidity. Woven poly covers are water-resistant (not fully waterproof) but offer superior UV protection and tear resistance for long-term outdoor storage. For temperature-sensitive goods, we stock insulated pallet covers with reflective foil lining that provides both waterproofing and thermal protection.
Can I order custom-printed stretch wrap?
Yes. Custom-printed stretch wrap is available with your company logo, handling instructions, or color coding. Minimum order is typically 100 rolls for custom printing. We can print in up to 4 colors on machine-grade or hand-grade film. Common uses include branding, security (tamper-evident patterns), and sorting (color-coded by destination or product line). Lead time for custom printed film is typically 3-4 weeks.
Do you sell the tools for applying strapping?
Yes. We carry a full line of strapping tools including manual tensioners, sealers, and combination tools for both steel and poly strapping. We also stock buckles, seals, and edge protectors. For high-volume operations, we offer semi-automatic and automatic strapping machines. Our team can recommend the right tools based on your volume, strap type, and application. Tool rental is available for short-term projects.
What is the difference between slip sheets and anti-slip mats?
Slip sheets are smooth, thin sheets placed between the pallet and the bottom layer of goods. They provide a clean, flat surface and can be used as an alternative to pallets in some applications (pushed by slip-sheet forklifts). Anti-slip mats are textured, rubberized sheets placed between layers of product on a pallet. Their sole purpose is to create friction and prevent boxes from sliding against each other during transport.
Can I bundle accessories with my pallet order for free delivery?
Yes. Any accessory order combined with a pallet order of 100 or more units ships together at no additional delivery charge. For standalone accessory orders, we offer free delivery on orders over $500. Orders under $500 have a flat $35 delivery fee within our standard service area. Auto-replenish program orders always ship free regardless of order size.
